What people use it for
Streaming tonight, research tomorrow.
From bingeing a series to drafting with an AI assistant or chasing down a citation, most members connect for three things. Here is how SakuraCat VPN fits each one.
01 / Streaming and music
Watch your favourite shows from wherever you are.
Choose a node in the region your platform expects, connect, then open Netflix, Disney+, TVB or Spotify as usual. Switching regions takes a couple of taps, so it is easy to find the catalogue you want.
NetflixFilms and series
Disney+Series and animation
TVBHong Kong dramas and shows
SpotifyMusic and podcasts
SakuraCat supplies the connection only. Content libraries, video quality and playback rules are set by each platform, and streaming subscriptions are not part of any SakuraCat plan.
02 / AI assistants
Keep your AI tools within reach.
Draft an email, debug a stubborn function or translate a paragraph with ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. A steady VPN connection helps these services load reliably when your local network makes them hard to reach.

ClaudeLong documents and code
GeminiSearch-style questions
On supported routes every member gets a dedicated IPv6 exit address, so you are not sharing one with the crowd.
Search journals, authors and citations on Google Scholar and PubMed, then jump between references without hitting a wall. Handy for coursework, theses and self-directed learning.
Google ScholarAcademic search
Google Scholar traffic can use your dedicated IPv6 exit address too, depending on the node and the route in use.
Full-text access to paid journals still comes from your school, library or publisher; a VPN does not grant those rights.
Availability changes with node status and platform policies, so always follow each service’s regional and account rules. If something will not load, check the SakuraCat help center first, then contact support with your device, node and the error message.
Dedicated IPv6 explained
Your own IPv6 exit address.
On supported routes SakuraCat assigns each member a dedicated IPv6 address for outgoing traffic. That keeps your connection from sharing an exit address with strangers and reduces the side effects of a shared IP. Whether IPv6 is used at all depends on the route.
One service, separate exit addresses
You→Your dedicated IPv6Used only by you
Another member→A different dedicated IPv6Used only by them
Simplified illustration of address allocation, not a live status.
A personal address for everyday browsing
When an AI tool or Google Scholar request travels over IPv6, it leaves through the address assigned to you rather than one shared with other members.
Speed still depends on the network
The exit address is only one piece of a connection. Node load, your carrier, the destination service and the connection method all shape what you experience, and a dedicated address is not dedicated bandwidth.
IPv6 must actually be in use for this to apply. The platform, the node and the connection method decide that; having an address assigned does not mean every request uses it.
What should I check if an IPv6 connection misbehaves?
Respect each platform’s regional and account rules, then review your node and client settings using the setup guides. If the problem persists, send support the platform name, the node and the exact error. Never share passwords, verification codes or complete subscription links.

Set it up once, then get on with your day.
Routes we maintain for you
Advanced plans include IEPL dedicated-line nodes and optimised routes, and we keep them tuned. If a connection struggles, the troubleshooting steps in the help center are the quickest place to start.
Apps for computers and phones
Native clients cover Windows, macOS, Android, Android TV and Linux, with an iOS and iPadOS beta on TestFlight. Every download is listed on one page.
Up to three devices together
Use a laptop, phone and tablet at the same time. Keep the simultaneous-device limit in mind when you switch between gadgets.
Guides that get you started
Every platform has a setup guide covering install, sign-in and first connection, so you are never left guessing.
Encrypted connections
Traffic between your device and the node is encrypted, and the service works with modern protocols such as Trojan, Shadowsocks, V2Ray and VLESS.
Nodes in popular regions
Basic plans cover Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan and the United States. Advanced plans stretch to 26 regions when you need more choice.

Short answers to what new members ask most. The help center goes deeper on setup and troubleshooting.
What is SakuraCat VPN and who is it for?
SakuraCat is a VPN and network acceleration service for Chinese-speaking users. It suits students, remote workers, expats and anyone who wants steadier access to streaming platforms, AI assistants and academic resources from their computer or phone.
Which regions can I connect to?
The Basic plan includes nodes in five popular regions: Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan and the United States. The Advanced plan expands the list to 26 regions and adds IEPL dedicated-line routes for members who want more choice.
Which devices and operating systems does SakuraCat support?
There are apps for Windows, macOS, Android, Android TV and Linux, and an iOS / iPadOS beta you can try through TestFlight. One account can be used on up to three devices at the same time, subject to the limit in your plan.
Can I use SakuraCat with Netflix, Disney+, ChatGPT or Google Scholar?
Yes, SakuraCat provides the connection you use to reach those services. What you can actually watch or use still depends on each platform’s regional rules and on your own subscription, which SakuraCat plans do not include.
What does a dedicated IPv6 exit address do?
On supported routes every member receives their own IPv6 address for outgoing traffic, so you are not sharing an exit address with other users. It reduces the side effects of shared IPs but is not dedicated bandwidth, and it only applies when a request really travels over IPv6.
How do I get started?
Download the app for your device, sign in to your account, choose a node in the region you need and press connect. The help center has a short guide for every operating system if you want screenshots and troubleshooting tips.
